BC Hydro's Revelstoke Dam, one of North America's largest and most modern hydro-electric developments, is located only a few minutes drive north of Revelstoke. The dam offers free self-guided tours, featuring individual talking wands.  This multi-level visitor centre includes a large exhibit area and a theatre.

One of Revelstoke's best kept secrets is our 18 hole, riverside golf course. With the majestic Monashee and Selkirk Mountains as a backdrop, the Revelstoke Golf Club was established in 1924 and it has been described as "a gem of a course". The par 72, 6513 yard layout along the Columbia River affords incredible mountain views in all directions.

With many area mountains topping 10,000 ft, you have the opportunity to climb on glaciers and high alpine meadows, either by hiking up marked trails, or taking a ride in a helicopter to some very remote & untouched wilderness areas.

Revelstoke is very fortunate to be the home of two spectacular National Parks - Mount Revelstoke National Park and Glacier National Park. Come and explore the natural beauty that these mountainous parks offer.

You can discover the fascinating story of the Rogers Pass National Historic Site on "Abandoned Rails Trail", "Loop Brook Trail", and at "Glacier House", the ruins of one of Canadian Pacific's great hotels of the past. Located at the summit of the pass, the Rogers Pass Centre includes a theatre, a hall of railway models and natural history exhibits.  The Rogers Pass Centre is a definite stop and is open year round.

For more than a century, people have been drawn to the natural healing waters of Halcyon Hot Springs, British Columbia. Halcyon Hot Springs Lithia Waters have a combination of minerals that are uniquely relaxing and beneficial for a variety of ailments. The cascading pools are constantly supplied with fresh hot springs water. Enjoy Hot Springs in both summer and winter season. They open all year.
